5 Minute Visa Interview Can Change your Life...

USA visa PRE-INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE:

Candidates were called upon depending on their interview time. At the entrance, the latest passport and the visa appointment confirmation email printout are checked by security personnel. You will be asked to take your mask off. Then, follow the yellow markings on the floor (yellow arrows) until you see some washbasins. They might or might not tell you to wait there for a few minutes. However, you will enter a room now where your belongings (wristwatch, wallet, files, documents, BUT NOT BELT) will go through a scanner. After that, your passport and latest DS-160 form will be asked for by a male employee. Here, your passport will get a barcode sticker. The number on the sticker will match with your case number in the DS-160 form. Then, you will be asked to sit on a bench. You can go to the washroom or drink water in this section. Next, they will dispatch a few candidates at a time to go to the room where interviews are taken. Initially, you will have to form a queue leading up to the Window-4, where your passports (old, new) and DS-160 form(s) will be checked again by a female employee. She will keep your latest passport. You may ask the lady here should you have/had any problem with your DS-160. You will have to take your mask off again. Then, you have to sit out the time on a bench until a VO calls your name, i.e. “Tareque Eshan, Window-8”
